Outdoor Wedding Design and My Adoration of

Outdoor wedding design makes me giddy inside. I could gawk at pictures of outdoor weddings all day long and still crave more. This leads me to whether or not I should pursue...dare I say, WEDDING PLANNING! I'm not sure where I'd start and the only wedding I'll soon have for a "portfolio" would be my own.  Perhaps I'm just going through an "empty nest wedding syndrome," so to speak. Well never mind my wild and crazy thoughts that have been brewing lately.

It's time for some devilishly delightful outdoor wedding inspiration that I happened upon today.

Exotic Jewelry for the Gypsy Bride

One of my all time favorite jewelry companies is Satya Jewelry for their bohemian, yogic style. Their jewelry is exotic yet elegant. If you're reading this then I'm going to assume that you're into this cultured style. I'm sure that you're also an aware individual who loves supporting eco-friendly companies. If so, then Satya is your girl!

The quality of this jewelry is impeccable and worth the splurge for your big day!

Here just a few (of course when I say "a few," I really mean an abundance) of my favorite pieces:

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a rather small (small, as in overbearingly ginormous) obsession with gold and turquoise and the above exemplifies this perfectly.

Satya also offers jewelry in silver and a variety of colored stones.  My favorites just so happen to inevitably encompass turquoise and gold. :)

My Love of Headbands...

No one envisions a gypsy without some sort of fabulous head adornment--whether it be a head scarf, headband or jewels dangling from her long, whispy hair.

As you may have gathered from the picture in my last post, I have an obsession with accessories de la tete! Wearing a gold (another fixation of mine, as you'll soon come to find) headband on my wedding day was a must. I purchased my wedding day headband from Lucia Bella on Etsy. This lovely lady creates some of the most jaw-dropping headbands at very competitive prices. She is definitely worth checking out if you're looking to purchase a special occasion piece.

On a side note, I was recently introduced to a pleasurably addictive website called Pinterest. This website is the portal to a plethora of eye catching pictures. Simply type in any word and the most gorgeous, corresponding images appear. You are able to create inspiration boards in any theme fathomable by "pinning" your favorite, coinciding photos to them! ::GASP!...sigh::

Undoubtedly, the first few things I searched on Pinterest were, "weddings," "gypsy," "bohemian" and "headband." You know it!

I won't keep posting pictures from my wedding day but for the present moment I'm super stoked on them, so you may have to deal with my own pictures for a little while longer! : P

Bohemian Paradise

Being engaged sparked another flame in me and I gained a new love.

Just like any Bride-to-be, I became fixated on wedding planning. Unlike most Brides-to-be, I had to push the envelope by figuring out how many wedding details I could cram into bins, to then stuff in our car, to then drive 6 hours to our venue, all the while our knees are jammed into the dash...oh, Linda...

My free time was consumed in centerpiece contemplations and extravagant earring searches. I deemed Etsy my new, inspiring best friend.

My wedding was two weeks ago.

I don't want to have to pry myself off the many beautiful wedding blogs and I'm simply not willing to unsubscribe from my seemingly endless number of wedding-related email newsletters (Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Brides.com, Junebug Weddings, just to name a few).

You get the point.  I'm just a liiiittle overly committed...enveloped, you might say.

Now for my real obsession: I have this fascination with the exotic.

Exotic everything.

I love paradise, but who doesn't?! Ok, so perhaps I love paradise more than the average cat.

My eye is naturally drawn to any and everything that emanates a bohemian vibe.

Definition of bohemian: a person, as an artist or writer, who lives and acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices....ahh ::sigh::, I love the sound of that...

I have a deep love and appreciation for the many cultures across the world, especially those most unlike my own. I believe this passion is the inspiration behind the style I find myself adoring over and over again.

Within this blog, I want my love for wedding design to marry (pun intended) my adoration for worldly beauty.
